Du Jun Accuses Former 'Huawei Genius Youth' of Going Silent After Investment, Li Bojie Responds: Only One-Third of Investment Funds Received
Du Jun, founder of ABCDE Capital, alleged that Metagent founder Li Bojie (a former Huawei 'Genius Youth') and his partner Zhuang Siyuan failed to fulfill agreed obligations such as syncing business progress and providing financial data after receiving investment. The two allegedly went silent, leading the project to fizzle out, and their subsequent new project reportedly also failed.
In response, Li Bojie stated that only $500,000 of the agreed $1.5 million investment was received, with the remaining $1 million never arriving. However, the cap table still recorded their equity as if the full $1.5 million had been invested. Due to the shortfall in funds, the team proactively reduced salaries.
Li also mentioned that he left Metagent in October 2024 due to personal reasons and Web3 compliance issues, with board approval. He claimed that he fulfilled his financial reporting duties up until his departure.
Both sides are sticking to their own versions of the story.
