[Bank of England Releases Financial Stability Report: GBP and UK Bond Yields Remain Elevated]
According to Golden Finance, on July 7, the Bank of England released its *Financial Stability Report*. Following the release, the British pound continued trading near a one-year high against the euro, while UK government bond yields remained elevated with little change. The report stated that despite ongoing developments in the Middle East, the UK financial system remains resilient and continues to support the real economy. However, vulnerabilities persist in risk assets, sovereign debt markets, and high-risk credit markets. The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) are reviewing related measures, such as removing the countercyclical leverage buffer from banks' leverage requirements and lowering the minimum Tier 1 leverage ratio requirement from 3.25% to 3%.
