[Alert: Wallet generation vulnerability named 'Ill Bloom' puts thousands of accounts at risk] According to Coinspect Security, a wallet generation vulnerability named 'Ill Bloom' is being exploited by attackers to control affected wallets and steal funds. This vulnerability has impacted wallets across multiple blockchains since 2018, and affected wallets have continued to be generated in recent weeks, not originating from a single software wallet. Coinspect reported that on May 27, hundreds of accounts were compromised, resulting in approximately $3 million in losses, and in the past few hours, another $2 million has been transferred out of exposed wallets. Currently, thousands of accounts remain at risk, spanning Bitcoin, Ethereum and L2, Tron, and Solana. Coinspect has launched a tool to check affected addresses and is urging wallet providers to integrate lightweight weak mnemonic detection features.
