BlockBeats News, July 6 — EthLabs founder Barnabé Monnot (barnabé.eth) released the 'Week 2' update, summarizing the team's latest progress during the launch and funding phase, as well as the direction of ecosystem discussions.
In terms of interoperability (Interop), the team stated that they are building confidence in 'asynchronous interoperability based on zero-knowledge proofs (zk),' believing this will help construct more secure cross-chain bridges and enhance the native distribution of assets across Ethereum's multi-layer networks. Currently, some cross-chain paths still face latency issues, particularly in the L2→L1 direction. Against this backdrop, the intents mechanism can serve as a transitional solution, while sufficient L1 liquidity also aids in matching cross-chain executors (solvers). Meanwhile, the L1→L2 path is expected to significantly reduce confirmation delays through the Fast Confirmation Rule (FCR), and some clients have already begun integrating this mechanism.
In ecosystem discussions, PropAMMs (Proposal-based AMMs) have become a focal point for multiple teams and researchers recently, with the core focus being their potential optimization space between L1 execution efficiency and block building. At the same time, ENS has been emphasized as 'critical infrastructure for Ethereum,' and the team is continuing to engage with relevant stakeholders to advance its development direction.
On team building, EthLabs has received over 300 applications, processed about 20%, and aims to expand to approximately 10 members in the short term and around 20 members in the medium term, with a focus on recruiting talent with engineering capabilities and domain expertise.
Regarding funding, EthLabs stated that the current funding round is nearing completion, having already secured early support from BitMNR, Sharplink, and Ethereum Joseph. The plan is to bring in 1–2 additional core investors before moving to the next stage. [Original Link]
