[Citrini Analyst: China's CXMT Testing Bonded DRAM Pilot Production Line, Korean Media Claims Its Technology and Development Speed May Surpass Korean Competitors]
Odaily Planet Daily News - Citrini analyst Jukan posted on the X platform, stating that Korean media reports indicate China's CXMT is currently testing a bonded DRAM pilot production line in Hefei, aiming to achieve high-performance DRAM without using EUV lithography. Bonded DRAM is a technology that manufactures memory cell arrays and peripheral circuits on separate wafers and then bonds them together. This method allows the production of ultra-high-density DRAM using only deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography with multiple patterning, eliminating the need for EUV equipment. Samsung Electronics is developing its own bonded DRAM under the "B1b" project, and SK hynix is also advancing similar technology. Korean media warns that evaluations suggest CXMT may currently be ahead of its Korean competitors in both the technology itself and development speed.
