>> Global semiconductor prices are rising across all categories, with AI-related MLCC prices soaring up to 10x.
• Starting July 1, over 20 companies in the global semiconductor industry have begun raising prices across all product categories. Notably, certain AI-related MLCC specifications have seen prices jump 3–10x. Distributors in Huaqiangbei, China, stated, 'Quotes can change within half a day, and in some cases, prices have surged 50% in just two hours.' As a result, distributors who have been stockpiling are increasingly worried they might be stuck holding inventory purchased near peak prices.
• Overseas, companies like Infineon have raised prices by 10–25%, while domestic Chinese products have seen price hikes of over 15%. Infineon expects its AI power solutions business revenue to reach €1.5 billion.
• Meanwhile, the ongoing reduction in 8-inch wafer production capacity is exacerbating supply shortages, further driving the overall increase in semiconductor component prices.
