A while ago, Binance launched bStocks, and today Gate @Gate_zh officially rolled out gStocks! A lot of people might be confused—what does this even mean? Isn’t buying stocks enough? First, let’s clarify: when we buy U.S. stocks, most of the time we’re referring to real stocks. Real stocks represent ownership in a company. Buying stocks means you own a share of the company, including rights to dividends, corporate actions, and more. It’s all about authenticity—you truly own the stock. 2️⃣ What are gStocks? gStocks are tokenized stocks. Each gStock is backed 1:1 by real stocks held as reserves. The focus here is on capital efficiency. In other words, the same asset can do more. You can use your stock assets for trading, margin, DeFi staking and lending, and other things that weren’t possible before. 3️⃣ The relationship between the two!
