[Samsung to Invest 60 Trillion KRW in Physical Artificial Intelligence Industry Cluster] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on July 3, Samsung announced plans to invest approximately 60 trillion Korean won in the Yeongnam region of South Korea. The investment will focus on establishing production centers for humanoid robots, solid-state batteries, artificial intelligence (AI) server packaging substrates, and high-value-added ships. This initiative aims to integrate artificial intelligence transformation (AX) and robotics technology with existing manufacturing industries, positioning the Yeongnam region as a global leader in physical artificial intelligence innovation clusters. Samsung Electronics President and Head of the DX (Device eXperience) Division, Roh Tae-moon, attended the National Briefing on the Vision for Advanced Industry Development in Yeongnam, held on July 3 at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. He stated, 'Through concentrated investments in humanoid robots, AI data centers, and advanced manufacturing, we aim to create 200,000 high-quality jobs in the Yeongnam region.' Following Roh Tae-moon's remarks, Samsung released a press statement detailing the group-level investment plan centered around Gumi, Ulsan, Busan, and Geoje.
