How long does it take to reach 1 billion US dollars? Wall Street's established securities firms may take several years to attract new investors, while @ Binance's US stock trading only took 30 days.
To be honest, I was a bit surprised when I first saw this data. Just one month after its launch, the managed asset size has exceeded 1 billion US dollars, with a cumulative trading volume of over 3 billion US dollars, and an average of 41 million US dollars of funds flowing in every day. This is not a gradual increase in temperature, it's a direct explosion.
What's even more interesting is who is behind it. About 73% of Binance's US stock users come from emerging markets, which means that the demand for buying US stocks is no longer limited to traditional financial centers in Europe and America. Many ordinary people in many places used to have a complicated and high threshold process to open a US stock account, but now they can easily manage it with just one account on Binance. Crypto assets and stocks can be managed together without having to switch apps back and forth.
Looking at what everyone has bought, it can also illustrate the problem. Out of over 7000 tradable stocks and ETFs, approximately 71% of stock holdings are concentrated in the technology sector, with 48% invested in semiconductors. To put it simply, users are not just making random purchases, but are clearly laying out the main line of AI, which is similar to the approach of professional fund managers.
A few points that I think are most practical for ordinary people:
Starting with a minimum of $5 for fragmented stock trading, there's no need to spend big money right away; Some stocks support trading 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, making it easier to monitor prices across time zones; There is no transaction fee for stock and ETF trading, and the minimum platform fee per order is only 0.17 US dollars; You can also directly use some stablecoins and BNB in your account to buy stocks, which is a very smooth experience for old cryptocurrency users.
The operation is also simple: open the Binance App, click on "Market Trends" at the bottom, and switch to "Traditional Finance" at the top to see all supported stocks. Click on them and trade directly (iOS requires 3.15 or above, Android requires 3.15.7 or above).
Binance Research has a data that left a deep impression on me: only about 11% of global adults have brokerage accounts. Perhaps in the future, the first stop for many people to explore the global market will no longer be traditional securities firms, but rather cryptocurrency platforms. If your region supports it, you can take a look at Binance's Direct Stocks and experience this new entrance.
