ChatGTP's parent company OpenAI has reportedly been discussing giving 5% of its shares to the U.S. government in exchange for the government taking a stake in OpenAI. According to the proposal, OpenAI also suggests that other U.S. AI companies donate a similar percentage of shares to the government, allowing the U.S. government to take stakes in all leading AI companies.
