[Iran Claims U.S. Violated Memorandum of Understanding Commitments, Will Establish Monitoring Mechanism to Review Violations]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on July 2, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and head of the Iranian technical negotiation delegation, Ali Bagheri Kani, stated that during the trilateral talks held in Doha between Iran, Qatar, and Pakistan, the Iranian delegation raised and reviewed the U.S.'s violation of the first clause of the Iran-U.S. Memorandum of Understanding regarding the commitment to end the conflict in Lebanon. They also discussed reports about the U.S. strengthening regional military equipment and troop deployments, as well as some threatening and interventionist remarks made by U.S. officials. The Iranian delegation emphasized during the talks that the commitments in the Iran-U.S. Memorandum of Understanding are an integrated whole and cannot be viewed in isolation. Bagheri Kani announced that a monitoring group will be established, and violations of the Iran-U.S. Memorandum of Understanding will be reported and reviewed through direct communication channels.
