After the OUSD news came out yesterday, CRCL fell quite sharply, and I myself was also trapped
The OUSD model does have a strong impact, with zero cost casting redemption, reserve income sharing, and a group of traditional financial and payment giants supporting it. In the short term, it will definitely make the market re evaluate Circle's moat
Previously, everyone assumed that USDC was strong in compliant stablecoins, but now suddenly a new player with strong resources has emerged, and CRCL has been smashed. I think it's normal
But I think there are two points here that cannot be mixed together
Firstly, OUSD has advantages, but it does not necessarily mean it can immediately consume USDC
The most difficult aspect of stablecoins is not issuing them, but rather liquidity, usage scenarios, user habits, and trust networks. USDC still has a large circulation scale and is widely used in on chain, exchange, payment, and institutional scenarios. It cannot be immediately replaced by a new alliance going online
Secondly, the alliance mode appears to have a strong lineup, but execution may not be easy
The more companies there are, the more complex their interests become, and decision-making and progress may actually be slower. Whether it can ultimately come out depends on the liquidity and actual adoption rate after going online
So my current assessment of CRCL is that the long-term certainty has indeed been weakened, but there is still a chance. It seems more like it has transformed from a previous trend imagination to a more volatile track leader
I have fallen too much and my mood is overly pessimistic. I will wait until it stabilizes before continuing to buy a little; But if it rises too much, I won't have the brainless imagination to keep trending upwards
I am still optimistic about the general direction of stablecoins, RWA、 The scenarios of on chain payment and AI agent payment also rely on stablecoins, but Circle needs to continue to prove that it can maintain its core position in compliant stablecoins
This decline is not simply a result of emotional killing, but rather a real increase in the complexity of the competitive landscape
But more competition doesn't mean Circle is out
My strategy is not to panic or panic, wait for the market to calm down before looking at opportunities, DYOR
