[EU Crypto Asset Regulation MiCA Officially Takes Effect Today]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on July 1, the EU Crypto Asset Regulation MiCA will officially take effect. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) requires crypto service providers without a MiCA license to cease or restrict services within the EU and assist users in transferring assets or self-custody. It is reported that there are over 3,000 cryptocurrency companies registered in Europe as of 2024, but only 244 hold a MiCA license. This means the remaining companies must cease operations by July 1.
