[Codex Quota Anomaly Crashes Again, OpenAI Performs Another Full Reset]
According to monitoring by Beating, a tech observation platform, the quota anomaly consumption vulnerability in OpenAI's programming agent Codex has yet to be resolved. Core product lead Tibo Sottiaux announced that the team initiated an emergency war room on Sunday to review logs and implemented a second full reset for all users. The first reset on June 27 failed to address the issue. Some users reported that after manually resetting their quotas, limits dropped by 75% again within just 36 hours. Independent developer nicdunz criticized OpenAI for being too lax in its response to the malfunction. Sottiaux revealed that since the issue is still under investigation, the team decided to directly refresh all user quotas. Given that some users had previously accumulated up to three manual quota resets, this time the approach was changed to a direct reset instead of issuing quota reset cards. Coincidentally, this week is OpenAI's rest and recovery benefit week, internally referred to as RESET week. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday for the R&D team ended up being spent in the war room, resetting (RESET) the entire network's quotas. [Original Link]
