Been in the game for a full ten years now. Ten years! How many decades does one have in life?
A lot of friends around me either achieved financial freedom and left the space long ago, or lost everything and quit. And here I am, still wasting time here. So embarrassing
I didn’t make money, but I’ve gained so many insights:
Many people think they lose money because they didn’t buy that 100x coin. But that’s not it.
Most people lose money because they’re always trying to make up for the money they didn’t earn last time.
When the market goes up, they regret not buying more.
When it goes down, they can’t bear to cut their losses.
During consolidation, they fantasize about a reversal every day.
In the end, their portfolio rides the emotional rollercoaster with them.
Over the years, I’ve seen so many people:
In a bull market, they make 5x, 10x.
Then in a bear market, they give it all back.
It’s not that they don’t know how to make money.
It’s that they never learned how to keep their profits.
Here’s a harsh truth about the market:
There are plenty of people who make money.
But very few leave with it.
The ones who truly survive bull and bear cycles don’t spend their time chasing the next 100x coin.
They focus on how to avoid becoming the next cycle’s casualty.
Because opportunities will always be there, but your capital won’t.
When the trend is here, it’s all about execution.
When the trend isn’t here, it’s all about patience.
Most people fail at the second part.
During a bear market, it’s about who has more patience, who has better off-market earning power, and who has enough capital when the opportunity comes. When the market turns, you need to be ready to seize it. Remember, staying in the game is the only way to talk about the future…
