Binance @binancezh's strategy in the TradFi space isn’t just about adding a few more trading categories. I see it more as an effort to further lower the barriers between traditional finance and the crypto market.
In the past, if you wanted to participate in investment opportunities around a company’s IPO, you often needed different platforms, different accounts, and even had to deal with geographical and trading time restrictions. Now, from Pre-IPO products to U.S. stocks, ETFs, and on-chain assets, more and more products are being integrated into a single account system. This shift in user experience is far more noteworthy than simply adding a new product.
I believe that the future of competition may not be about who lists more assets, but about who can make the entire investment process more complete and seamless. From price discovery before an IPO to trading stocks post-listing, and then leveraging on-chain assets for more combinations and liquidity, this kind of full-cycle product ecosystem aligns better with the habits of global investors.
Traditional finance is accelerating its move onto the blockchain, while the crypto industry continues to absorb mature assets from traditional finance. The line between the two is becoming increasingly blurred. For everyday users, the key isn’t which market the assets come from, but whether they can participate in the global financial market with lower barriers and higher efficiency. I think this might just be a key direction for the future of finance.
