Next week, U.S. stocks only trade for 4 days, while crypto runs 24/7—this week’s cross-market time gap is crystal clear
Non-farm payrolls drop on Thursday, and U.S. stocks are closed Friday for Independence Day. Over the long weekend, crypto will have to hold its own.
Next week, each market has one key focus:
U.S. stocks: June non-farm payrolls, released early on Thursday (7/2) due to the 7/4 holiday and Friday’s market closure. This is a critical input for the Fed’s moves in July.
Crypto: While U.S. stocks go dark on Friday, BTC and ETH will keep trading 24/7 as usual. Crypto has already been weak this week—BTC has fallen back to the $59K range, and ETH is down to around $1,550. Any turbulence over the long weekend will hit crypto first.
Quick reminder: Don’t wait until Monday’s market open to figure things out. If Thursday’s data surprises and you can’t see the U.S. stock market on Friday, leaving you staring at crypto instead, think through your moves this weekend.
