Golden Finance reported that on June 27, the U.S. Central Command stated that on June 26, forces carried out strikes against Iran as a strong response to the attack on a merchant ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz the previous day. Earlier, on June 25, Iran used a one-way attack drone to strike the cargo ship "Ever Lovely." U.S. military aircraft subsequently targeted Iran's missile and drone storage facilities as well as coastal radar stations. Iran's unprovoked aggression against merchant ships clearly violated the ceasefire agreement. Furthermore, with a significant amount of trade passing through this critical international trade route, Iran's dangerous actions have also disrupted freedom of navigation. U.S. Central Command forces will continue to coordinate and support the safe passage of merchant ships transiting the strait. The U.S. military will maintain its presence and vigilance to ensure that all agreements reached with Iran are adhered to and effectively implemented.
