One of the highlights of my visit to Guyana was experiencing the breathtaking Kaieteur National Park and witnessing the magnificent 741-foot Kaieteur Falls, one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders. As Jamaica and Guyana continue to deepen our partnership, we are also strengthening cooperation in tourism with the goal of sharing best practices in eco-tourism, environmental preservation, community-based tourism, and improving air connectivity to expand opportunities for travel and investment between our countries. I thank President Ali for ensuring we got to see the Falls, and recognize Minister Susan Rodrigues for leading this memorable visit and showcasing one of Guyana’s greatest natural treasures.(Andrew Holness)
