According to TASS, the Russian Ministry of Energy has drafted a government resolution proposing a ban on cryptocurrency mining in Moscow, Moscow Oblast, and parts of Kursk Oblast starting from July 1, 2026. The ban is expected to last until December 31, 2032. Earlier in May this year, the Russian Government's Electricity Development Committee had recommended implementing this ban.
