This year, Jamaica will go to market for approximately US$5 billion in contracting services for key water projects. These works will strengthen supply systems across central and eastern St Mary, Trelawny, St Elizabeth, St Ann, and St Thomas, along with other communities being served through new and upgraded networks. We are also advancing the Western Resilience Water Project, one of our largest investments in the sector, valued at about $11 billion this year. This project will include a major pipeline from Martha Brae to western Jamaica, supported by treatment plants at Great River and Martha Brae, helping to improve distribution and reliability of water supply across several parishes.(Andrew Holness)
