[Samsung to Announce 10-Year Investment of 1,000 Trillion Won in South Korea] DeepFlow TechFlow reports that on June 26, according to South Korea's *Maeil Business Newspaper*, Samsung Group will announce a cutting-edge industry investment plan worth 1,000 trillion won (approximately $650 billion) at the Blue House on June 29. This represents the largest investment amount ever announced by a South Korean company, equivalent to half of South Korea's GDP. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung will host a national briefing at the Blue House on June 29. CEOs of major South Korean companies will attend the briefing to unveil their respective plans for advancing investments in cutting-edge industries outside the capital region. Samsung's proposed 1,000 trillion won investment plan is a blueprint that consolidates investment plans for major business sectors over the next decade, including semiconductors, AI data centers, secondary batteries, and displays. It is reported that Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong conveyed this investment plan during his meeting with President Lee Jae-myung at the Blue House on June 25. Samsung is currently considering investing approximately 300 trillion won to build semiconductor factories in the Gwangju-Jeollanam-do region, in line with the government's policy to establish a second semiconductor cluster in the southwestern area.
