U.S. 10-YEAR YIELD HITS 7-WEEK LOW
The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield fell below 4.40%, its lowest in seven weeks, after softer-than-expected inflation data eased expectations for multiple Fed rate hikes. Lower oil prices also helped reduce inflation concerns. However, strong consumer spending and resilient economic growth continue to support expectations of at least one Fed rate hike this year.(*Walter Bloomberg)
