[9 Years Ago, a Whale Who Participated in the BAT ICO Sold 12,586 ETH in the Past Two Days for $20.59M USDS]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on-chain analyst Yu Jin monitored a whale who participated in the BAT ICO in May 2017 (9 years ago) and ultimately gained a profit of $23.77M. The address had remained inactive for 6 years but woke up two days ago and started selling ETH. Over the past two days, the whale sold 12,586 ETH in exchange for $20.59M USDS at an average price of $1,636.
In May 2017 (9 years ago), the whale participated in the BAT ICO, spending 17,789 ETH ($4.12M) to acquire 113.8M BAT tokens at an ICO price of $0.036.
Over the following two and a half years, the whale gradually sold these BAT tokens via on-chain transactions and Binance at an average price of $0.245, earning $23.77M in profit. Among these, 35M BAT were sold on-chain in exchange for 27,586 ETH.
These ETH remained untouched until two days ago, when the whale began selling them. So far, 12,586 ETH have been sold in two days for $20.59M USDS at an average price of $1,636. The address still holds 15,000 ETH ($24.29M).
