[U.S. Energy Secretary: 20 Million Barrels of Crude Oil Shipped Through the Strait of Hormuz in the Past 24 Hours]
Golden Finance reports that on June 25, U.S. Energy Secretary Wright stated that approximately 20 million barrels of crude oil were shipped through the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours, with tankers continuing to traverse this critical waterway for Middle Eastern oil supply. When asked how much crude oil had been transported through the strait following the preliminary U.S.-Iran agreement to end the conflict, Wright said: 'I can say that in the past 24 hours, about 72 vessels have transported approximately 20 million barrels of crude oil.' He added: 'Iran will no longer have the capability to close the Strait of Hormuz in the future. This is the key point, and it has been their main leverage, which we are now taking away.'
