Optimism will be responsible for operating Ink's mainnet production infrastructure, while the Ink Foundation will focus on ecosystem development and new financial products. Ink's mainnet is set to launch in December 2024, processing over 1 million transactions on its first day, with current on-chain application annual revenue nearing $40 million. Ink will also serve as an OP Enterprise design partner, participating in the design of features such as programmable block construction, same-day withdrawals to Ethereum, and sequencer-scale block aggregation. The goal is to achieve throughput of 400 megagas per second and a minimum block time of 100 milliseconds by the end of 2026.
