French crypto asset trading platform Paymium announced that it has obtained the MiCA license approved by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), allowing it to continue operations under the new EU regulatory framework. Founded in 2011, Paymium claims to have over 230,000 individual and institutional clients. The AMF previously stated that as of early June, around 20 companies in France had obtained MiCA licenses, while approximately 50 out of over 100 related businesses had yet to submit applications.
