[Rumors: GPT-5.6 and Gemini 3.5 Pro Delayed to July, OpenAI's New Voice Model May Launch This Week] Odaily Planet Daily reports that tech blogger @synthwavedd posted that the release schedules for several highly anticipated cutting-edge AI models have been adjusted. Among them, GPT-5.6, originally scheduled for release soon, has been postponed to mid-July. Meanwhile, Google DeepMind, dissatisfied with the current performance of its model, has canceled the planned late-June release of Gemini 3.5 Pro. At the same time, preparations for the launch of OpenAI's next-generation bidirectional voice model, Bidi, are underway on the ChatGPT platform, and it may be made available to users as early as this week. Reports indicate that Bidi supports full-duplex voice interaction, allowing users to speak simultaneously with the model and interrupt conversations at any time, marking a significant upgrade to existing voice models. Additionally, Anthropic has granted select enterprise clients early access to Claude Sonnet 5. Due to delays in the release progress of flagship models Mythos 5 and Fable 5, Claude Sonnet 5 is seen as Anthropic's interim product solution to alleviate competitive pressure.
