[Iranian Representative: Strait of Hormuz Open Free of Charge]
Golden Finance reports, June 23 – Ali Bahreini, Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva, stated on June 23 that the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open to commercial vessels without any charges. Responding to questions from the United Nations Geneva Correspondents Association regarding the status of negotiations between Iran and the United States, Bahreini said that the Strait of Hormuz is now open for a period of 60 days, during which no fees will be collected. Furthermore, both Iran and the U.S. have agreed to establish a communication mechanism to monitor and address any potential issues. After 60 days, the specific status of the strait's openness will be determined by the outcome of negotiations between Iran and the U.S. (Xinhua News Agency)
