[Iran Emphasizes Free Use of Unfrozen Assets] BlockBeats News, June 23 – According to a report by the Islamic Republic News Agency on June 23, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated at a weekly press conference held in Tehran that Iran will decide how to use its unfrozen assets entirely based on national interests and will not face any restrictions. Previously, some media speculated that under the agreement reached between Iran and the U.S., the use of Iran's unfrozen funds might be restricted, possibly limited to purchasing specific goods, including U.S. food products. Kanaani refuted this, saying, "There are no restrictions in this regard." Regarding the purchase of goods, "relevant institutions such as Iran's Ministry of Agriculture will make decisions based on price and quality." Kanaani also mentioned that the U.S. licenses for the sale of Iranian crude oil, petrochemical products, refined oil, and related services took effect on the 22nd, and the same principles apply to Iran's unfrozen assets. "Iran's previously frozen assets are now fully accessible and can be freely used according to its own priorities."
