[Google Invests Approximately $75 Million in A24 to Explore AI Film Production]
According to The Wall Street Journal, Google's parent company Alphabet, through its subsidiary Google, will invest approximately $75 million in independent film company A24 and establish a new artificial intelligence research partnership. Recent films produced by A24 include *Backrooms* and *Marty Supreme*. This marks Google's first direct equity investment in a film studio, as its previous involvement in online entertainment has primarily been through YouTube.
