Bank of America: Expected Fed to Raise Rates Three Times This Year
According to BlockBeats, on June 22nd, Bank of America currently expects the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates three times this year, which is the latest sign that Wall Street is preparing for a more aggressive Federal Reserve rate hike. The bank's economists had previously predicted that the Federal Reserve would keep interest rates unchanged this year. The reason for adjusting its expectations is due to strong economic data performance and the Federal Reserve's shift towards hawkish communication, implying that the Fed will take a more proactive approach to addressing inflation. Bank of America's forecast for three interest rate hikes is still in the minority: currently only 19% of market investors expect three rate hikes, although this proportion has risen from 3% a week ago. Investors believe that raising interest rates twice this year is the most likely outcome. (Golden Ten)
