Hu Xiaowei, a senior executive of Taizi Group, was arrested in Japan for making false relocation declarations Foresight News reported that according to Asahi Shimbun, the police department arrested Hu Xiaowei (44 years old), a Cypriot citizen with an unknown address, on suspicion of falsely recording and providing evidence in the electromagnetic notarization certificate. Hu Xiaowei is considered one of the top executives of the Crown Prince Group. The police accused him of submitting a false resident relocation declaration in April this year, falsely claiming to have moved from Osaka to Chuo ku, Tokyo. He was arrested in Osaka on the 14th of this month. Hu Xiaowei confessed that he moved his resident ticket to Tokyo in order to obtain permanent residency in Japan, but stated that the specific process was entrusted to an agent and was not clear. The police also arrested two Chinese nationals on the grounds of submitting false declarations on behalf of Hu Xiaowei. Currently, the phones and other devices of Hu Xiaowei and others have been confiscated and are being analyzed and investigated. \According to publicly available information from the US Treasury Department and Department of Justice, the Crown Prince Group was included in the US sanctions list in October 2025 for engaging in international online fraud activities such as false investment scams through "call centers" in Cambodia, involving a total of 146 individuals and legal entities, including "Chen Xiaoer", who was identified by Japanese police as the same person as Hu Xiaowei. Chen Zhi, the chairman of the Crown Prince Group, has been detained by local police in Cambodia and deported back to China. \Foresight previously reported that after more than two months of detention, the founder of Cambodia's Crown Prince Group, Chen Zhi, the UK has imposed further sanctions on Southeast Asian fraud networks, including Hu Xiaowei, who is closely associated with Chen Zhi. The sanctions document released by the UK refers to Hu Xiaowei as "Wu Anming", stating that he is associated with Chen Zhi and the Crown Prince Group and is a "long-term collaborator of Chen Zhi", providing financial services, economic resources, technology and other support.
