Before the end of the year, I’m sticking to one rule: no touching altcoins.
We retail investors are not even on the same cost structure as project teams:
Retail investors (aka me):
● Cost = Real hard-earned money used to buy in
● Goal = Make a profit
Teams / VCs:
○ Cost ≈ 0
○ Goal = Dump all their tokens on you
Their token cost is close to zero. Sell it to you at $1, they profit. Even if it drops to $0.01 and they sell, it’s still pure profit for them. By the end of the year, a bunch of projects will unlock tokens, and the only ones left holding the bag will be retail investors. You’re aiming for profits, but they’re coming for your capital.
Why can you make money in a bull market? Because during the bear market, you didn’t go head-to-head with project teams and managed to protect your principal. Save your ammo, so you’ll have your turn in the next cycle.
When will I touch altcoins again? After Bitcoin finishes its first wave of the bull run. Until then, staying in cash is also a position.
