The struggle of Neta is truly a macro disturbance, as evidenced by the joint statement issued by Qatar and Pakistan as mediators, confirming that the first round of high-level diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran in Switzerland has ended. It also allows us to learn more about the details of the US Iran talks held over the weekend: 1) This meeting is a four party meeting, with the United States and Iran as parties, and Pakistan and Qatar as mediators, based on the framework of the previously reached Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding 2) Both sides unanimously agreed to establish a high-level political supervision committee during the talks to provide overall planning and guidance for subsequent negotiations. The chief negotiator will regularly report to the high-level committee and lead working groups focused on nuclear issues, sanctions, and monitoring and dispute resolution to ensure the effective implementation of the memorandum of understanding; 3) The core outcome of this meeting is the establishment of a binding political time frame, namely the 60 day roadmap mentioned above. This arrangement, along with the establishment of a supervisory mechanism, is considered an important institutional guarantee to ensure the continued progress of the negotiation process. 4) Establish communication channels between all parties, applicable during the period described in paragraph 5 of the Memorandum of Understanding, to avoid incidents and misinformation, with the aim of ensuring the safe passage of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. The fifth paragraph of the memorandum is about arrangements for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz 5) Introduce specialized conflict resolution mechanisms, with a focus on the situation in Lebanon. This mechanism will operate in coordination between Qatar and Pakistan, responsible for establishing communication channels between relevant parties and monitoring the implementation of the cessation of all active military operations in Lebanon. The first round of talks between the main diplomatic delegations has come to an end, and technical negotiations are still ongoing. The mediator confirms that the relevant technical working group will stay at the Bourgenstock Resort in Switzerland for the remainder of this week to further discuss unresolved details. On the 22nd, Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghi posted on social media that significant progress has been made in ending the conflict in Lebanon through the mediation of Pakistan and Qatar. Iran has been granted exemptions for the export of oil and petrochemical products, the blockade has been lifted, some assets have been unfrozen, and a major Iran reconstruction and development plan has been launched. There should still be fluctuations and disturbances in the future, but the situation in Iran and the Middle East will become less and less of a major factor affecting the market. As for the Inner Tower, as we discussed before, the harder it struggles, the smaller its strategic and maneuvering space will actually be.
