According to an investigative report by *The Wall Street Journal*, prediction market platform Polymarket has been accused of using paid creators to post simulated trading and fake profit videos to promote its products on social media. WSJ claims that these creators filmed trading videos on simulated sites resembling Polymarket's actual website, with some content showcasing high profits that never actually occurred. Certain videos were even submitted to Polymarket for review. The report states that Polymarket managed influencer marketing campaigns through the agency Virality, and despite restrictions on its U.S. services and targeting international users, these campaigns allegedly still reached U.S. audiences. WSJ also reported that Polymarket has a multi-million-dollar promotional partnership with influencer Adin Ross to drive user engagement.
