[CZ: AI-Powered Trading and Payments Will Arrive Within Months, Utilizing Blockchain] BlockBeats News, June 20 — Binance founder CZ participated in the Galaxy Brains podcast, hosted by Galaxy Research Director Alex Thorn, for an exclusive interview. CZ stated that he has installed and subscribed to almost all mainstream AI large language models and uses different products based on specific needs. OpenAI was the first product he installed, Claude is better suited for coding, and when in regions like Hong Kong, he uses Chinese models such as DeepSeek and Kimi. CZ emphasized that he does not choose tools based on political considerations but rather on practicality, saying, 'I use whichever works.' Overall, U.S.-based large language models are more accurate, while Chinese open-source models are also excellent but sometimes lack comprehensiveness. CZ revealed that AI-powered trading and payments will arrive within months, not years. He believes AI can assist users in booking tickets or executing trades but still requires payment and transaction capabilities. Current payment systems are not suitable for direct AI usage—for example, AI cannot swipe a Visa card like a human or easily handle 2FA or KYC processes. In contrast, blockchain is API-driven and more easily integrated with AI. CZ stated that AI will still need to spend money and conduct transactions, which is why blockchain will be utilized. Discussing AI competition, CZ noted that the U.S. and China will inevitably compete in the AI field, including areas such as chips, data centers, and manufacturing capabilities. He believes competition can drive growth but cautioned that the pace of AI development must be approached carefully, as AI is incredibly powerful and potentially dangerous. CZ remarked that AI regulation is more complex compared to crypto regulation. Crypto regulation primarily deals with issues like funds, KYC, and AML, whereas AI could involve hacking, assisting in weapon manufacturing, controlling robots and drones, and more. Currently, not enough people are deeply considering how to comprehensively regulate AI. [Original Link]
