[Founder of Crypto Platform Crypto-Pal Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison for Nearly $1 Million Fraud Case]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on June 20, U.S. federal court documents from California reveal that a federal jury has found Daniel Chartraw, founder of the crypto platform Crypto-Pal, guilty of multiple charges related to cryptocurrency and investment fraud schemes, involving losses of nearly $1 million. Investigations show that between 2021 and 2022, he used aliases to conceal his prior criminal record and lured victims to invest in the Crypto-Pal platform with promises of 'guaranteed principal and high returns,' subsequently misappropriating all the funds for personal use. Chartraw faces up to 20 years in prison for each charge and a fine of $250,000. The court has scheduled sentencing for September 28, 2026.
