The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is a global organisation that sets rules and standards to protect countries from money laundering and the financing of terrorism. It plays an important role in keeping financial systems safe and secure around the world, including in Jamaica. Jamaica is currently being assessed on how well its systems are working to prevent money laundering and financial crimes. This review looks at how effective our laws and enforcement measures are in protecting the economy and maintaining financial integrity. This week, Minister @williams_fayval is leading Jamaica’s delegation to the FATF Plenary in Paris, France, where these important issues are being discussed at the global level.
