[The DAO's Unclaimed ETH Relaunched as Ethereum Long-Term Security Fund, Over $1 Million in Grants Allocated to 134 Security Projects] According to The Block, the early Ethereum project The DAO, which suffered a hack exploiting a reentrancy vulnerability ten years ago and lost approximately 3.6 million ETH, has now relaunched over 75,000 unclaimed ETH (currently valued at around $130 million) recovered after the incident as a long-term Ethereum security fund. The fund will stake the aforementioned ETH, generating an annual yield of approximately $8 million to support security research, tool development, and emergency response. It will be managed by seven curators, including Vitalik Buterin, and will operate in collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation's 'Trillion Dollar Security' initiative.
