[Bitcoin Mining Companies Show Diverging May Production, AI Computing Power Intensifies Competition with Bitcoin Mining]
According to The Block, Bitdeer, BitFuFu, Canaan, and CleanSpark released their unaudited May production data, collectively mining 1,859 BTC. Bitdeer mined 921 BTC, a year-on-year increase of 370%, but held only 171 BTC, having sold off a significant amount over the past year to fund AI Cloud construction, with related annualized revenue of approximately $69 million, though growth has slowed. BitFuFu increased its self-mined production to 90 BTC, surpassing cloud mining for the first time, despite a decline in total computing power and partial power restrictions. Canaan added a combined 114 BTC through self-mining and hosting, bringing its reserves to 1,867 BTC and 3,952 ETH, while advancing its 'Computing Power for Heating' project.
