[Institution: Weak UK Economy Reduces Likelihood of Bank of England Rate Hike]
Jin10 News, June 18 – Jamie Niven of Candriam stated in a report that the fragile state of the UK economy has reduced the urgency for the Bank of England to raise interest rates to combat inflation. In Thursday's policy decision, the Bank of England voted to keep the interest rate unchanged at 3.75%, with two out of nine policymakers supporting a rate hike. 'If the Middle East conflict does not escalate again, we still believe the Bank of England will maintain the interest rate at 3.75% for the remainder of 2026.'
