Alchemy to Launch Visa Virtual Payment Card for AI Agents

Foresight News reports, according to The Block, blockchain infrastructure provider Alchemy is set to launch a new AI-focused virtual Visa card called AgentCard. It is a card and identity solution designed to enable AI agents to operate autonomously in the real world. AgentCard is built through integration with Visa Intelligent Commerce, which is part of Alchemy's AI solutions portfolio aimed at supporting 'large-scale AI-driven commercial experiences.' The virtual card will support tokenized card payments and cryptocurrency payments (when accepted by merchants), as well as 'emerging agent payment protocols,' such as x402 incubated by Coinbase and Stripe's Machine Payment Protocol (MPP).
