Saw this claim from the professor today, and it’s spreading like crazy everywhere, saying Aster only bought back 17U. My first instinct was, no way, that would be so dumb, right? @Leonard_Aster @Ccweb3hub These guys didn’t seem that clueless from my interactions with them. So I decided to dive in and take a look, and sure enough, it’s a misunderstanding. No idea who started this whole 17U thing, but it’s obvious they only checked the BSC chain and didn’t even realize @Aster_DEX is now running on AsterChain. I dug into the wallet myself, and yesterday’s buyback was 231,000U, which is much closer to what I expected. Maybe the big pump and dump yesterday was too dramatic, and a lot of people got trapped. Even my long position got stopped out, and I took a loss. But I feel like this widely spread misunderstanding might’ve caused some overselling, so I just bought back some Aster to see if I can catch a rebound.
