The Financial Commission of Korea will implement the seven principles of financial AI on June 22 Odaily Star Daily News: The Financial Commission of South Korea released a revised version of the "Artificial Intelligence Guidelines for the Financial Sector" on the 18th, which will be implemented for the entire financial industry and FinTech enterprises from June 22nd. The new guidelines are applicable to financial companies that introduce AI, as well as FinTech enterprises that affect financial transactions, and establish seven principles of governance, legality, complementarity, credibility, financial stability, integrity obligations, and security. The South Korean government plans to relax the network isolation and security supervision applicable to some financial institutions, improve the personal credit information consent system, data anonymization processing, and combine relevant rules, and study the responsibility, authority rules, and AI special supervision plans for AI agents. On the day of the implementation of the guidelines on June 22, the Korean Financial Supervisory Agency will simultaneously release the AI risk management framework for the financial sector, and the Korean Financial Security Agency will release the AI security guidelines for the financial sector.
