According to monitoring by Beating, Anthropic has announced a significant upgrade to its AI design and prototyping tool, Claude Design, focusing on streamlining the workflow between design and development. The core feature of the new version is the deep two-way synchronization with the terminal development assistant, Claude Code. In Claude Code, developers can run the /design-sync command to extract real design system specifications from local codebases and seamlessly import them into Claude Design projects. Alternatively, they can directly use the /design command in the terminal to create and sync designs. This ensures that the generated designs natively align with existing components and themes, and once the design is complete, it can be handed off to Claude Code for code generation and implementation with a single click. Additionally, Claude Design has revamped its design system import tool, enabling direct analysis and extraction of design specifications from GitHub repositories, design files, or local codebases, with automatic validation before output. The editor itself is now more stable, featuring new layout controls that allow users to drag, resize, and align elements directly on the canvas. It also supports exporting design works in PDF and PowerPoint formats. On the management and usage front, the new version introduces an Admin role for Team and Enterprise plans, allowing design leads to lock official design systems to ensure brand consistency. Furthermore, Claude Design now shares usage limits with other Claude products and has optimized token consumption. This update is currently available in Beta testing for paid users on both web and desktop platforms. [Original Link]
