Senators from both parties in the United States jointly propose a resolution to explicitly oppose the pardon of SBF, and the aftermath of the FTX case continues to ferment
According to a report by Golden Finance, US Senator Rub é n Gallego (Democratic, Arizona) and Cynthia Lummis (Republican, Wyoming) have jointly proposed a bipartisan resolution, requesting Congress to formally state its opposition to FTX founder SBF receiving presidential pardon, commutation, or other forms of federal relief under any circumstances. Two lawmakers stated that SBF has completed the trial process in court and should not seek forgiveness again, with Gallego stating that he has "no remorse" and Lummis stating that he should take established responsibility rather than "pursuing the pardon that was not obtained". This resolution also responds to his recent application for a pardon to the US Department of Justice. Although Trump has previously stated that he has no intention of granting him a pardon, some lawmakers are still concerned about political uncertainty in the relevant procedures.
