The United States allocates $500 million to SandboxAQ to search for new chip manufacturing materials
BlockBeats News: On June 17th, the US government allocated $500 million to SandboxAQ to develop new chemicals and materials needed for domestic semiconductor manufacturing in the United States, including alternatives to PFAS (perfluorinated and polyfluoroalkyl substances). This funding is part of US President Trump's allocation of research funds under the CHIPS Act. Previously, the plan had provided $150 million in investment in new chip manufacturing equipment and $2 billion in investment in the field of quantum computing. SandboxAQ, supported by Nvidia (NVDA.
