Jing Shun: China's technology industry is undervalued by overseas investors According to Golden Finance, on June 17th, Zhao Yaoting, a global market strategist at Jingshun Asia Pacific, pointed out that the Chinese technology industry has been underestimated by overseas investors, and he believes that investors will be more aware of the potential of the Chinese technology sector in the coming years. Zhao Yaoting explained that overseas investors still remain at a low allocation of Chinese stocks from an index perspective, viewing China as an emerging market similar to India. However, the Chinese stock market is no longer just a large country with high GDP growth among emerging markets, but a stock market with high-tech manufacturing, biotechnology, quantum computing, and AI sectors. China's technology industry has indeed recorded profits and export growth. Zhao Yaoting also mentioned that China's technology industry has made more breakthroughs than before and has become the biggest catalyst for the Chinese economy. Therefore, industry policies and regulatory environment have become positive, and the Chinese government is now even more embracing AI development than the US government. He believes that the Chinese technology industry will be one of the key industries to obtain more policy support, and the primary principle for investing in Chinese stocks is to choose sectors with policy support. There are many investment opportunities in industries such as green technology and biotechnology. For some investors who are still waiting for China's macroeconomic acceleration, Zhao Yaoting reminds them that doing so may miss the opportunity to invest in China. He also stated that compared to the past, traditional oriented stocks or indices will only have fewer opportunities to be sought after by investors. Taking the Hang Seng Index as an example, its profit growth is currently only in low double digits, while the MSCI Korea Index is twice as high.
