[Intel 18A-P Process Enters Risk Production Phase] According to Golden Finance, on June 17, reports indicate that Intel has announced the upgraded version of its 18A process node, "18A-P," has officially entered the risk production phase. The Intel 18A-P process is based on the 18A process, which entered mass production in the fourth quarter of last year, and has been optimized for the production of data center CPUs as well as artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) semiconductors. Compared to 18A, 18A-P delivers up to a 9% performance improvement at the same power consumption level; at the same performance level, power consumption can be reduced by up to 18%. Additionally, Intel plans to use 18A-P to produce "Diamond Rapids" CPU chips, which are expected to be released next year.
